Privacy Policy
Last updated July 22, 2026. Sprig is built so that your conversations never have to leave your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what stays on your device, what does not, and why.
The short version
Everything you record and everything Sprig writes from it, including audio, transcripts, summaries, key points, and action items, is stored only on your iPhone and processed only on your iPhone. Sprig has no accounts and no server that holds your content. The only data handled outside your device is anonymous purchase and subscription information, processed by Apple and RevenueCat when you subscribe to Sprig Pro.
Permissions Sprig asks for
- Microphone. Required to record meetings. Sprig only records when you start a recording, and iOS shows a system indicator whenever the microphone is active.
- Speech recognition. Required so your iPhone can transcribe audio into text. Sprig uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so transcription happens locally.
You can revoke either permission at any time in the iOS Settings app. Sprig will explain what stops working if you do.
What stays on your device
- Audio recordings of your meetings
- Live and saved transcripts
- AI-generated summaries, key points, and action items
- Your in-app preferences and settings
All of this lives in Sprig’s local storage on your iPhone. Transcription and AI note generation run on-device, so this content is never uploaded, and Sprig works fully offline.
What is processed off your device
When you purchase Sprig Pro, two companies process a limited amount of information so that subscriptions can work:
- Apple handles the payment itself through your App Store account, under Apple’s own privacy policy. Sprig never sees your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
- RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider, receives an anonymous, randomly generated App User ID along with purchase history and subscription status. This lets Sprig unlock Pro on your device, support Restore Purchases, and gives us aggregate subscription analytics such as how many trials convert. This identifier is not tied to your name, email, or any content in the app.
Recording content, including audio, transcripts, and notes, is never part of this data and never leaves your device.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an account, email address, or phone number.
Deleting your data
Because your content only exists on your iPhone, you are always in control of deleting it:
- Delete an individual meeting inside Sprig to remove its audio, transcript, and notes.
- Delete the Sprig app to remove all recordings, transcripts, notes, and preferences at once.
There is no server-side copy of your content, so there is nothing further to request or erase. Anonymous purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their respective retention policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
